Videos (English) – 2019

Compilation of all videos I’ve released on my main YouTube channel during 2019 as well as a few extras.

This is a compilation of the videos and playlists released on my main channel during 2019, as well as their translated descriptions. To see the videos of the current year, check the Videos page.

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 1: The Dream Forest]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

My YouTube channel finally started! Welcome! If you want more information on my channel, you can go there (turn on the translator if you don’t speak alien/French): https://mortamonyapi.com/2019/05/28/lancement-de-ma-chaine-youtube/
And for a page which gathers all public videos, check that out: http://mortamonyapi.com/navigation/videos/

Ah, Rayman! My first video game ever and the one which turned me into the passionate gamer I am today! So, I decided to pick this one for my MortaLet’s Play (yeah, that’s how I call my gameplay videos)!
Since I don’t have yet a capture card to record the game on consoles, I decided to go for Rayman Forever’s GOG port instead as it was the most accessible one! If you want to buy the game, I highly recommend going there! : https://www.gog.com/game/rayman_forever.
Rayman Forever is also available on the Ubisoft Store (and so Uplay) if that interests you! : https://store.ubi.com/us/rayman–forever/5800d3fc4e016524248b4567.html
Sadly, the quality of this version is pretty disappointing! Both when it comes to the sounds or the visuals!
At least, I took the time to correct the well-known soundtrack problem of this version, but that’s still not perfect either! The music doesn’t loop properly, some tracks are misplaced, and there are even more noticeable problems! By the way, if you want to correct this soundtrack problem, go download that: http://www.mediafire.com/?qxqatkzd9d04jc4, and replace the game’s music (in the ‘Rayman Forever/Music’ folder) with these files after extracting them!
I’ve also added the intro video right after the Ubisoft logo! Since it wasn’t part of this version and it was obtained in the GOG goodies, I had to go look for it outside of the game and to add it into the video! To make it even worse, its quality is far inferior to the one of my footage, and so we go from the 1080p resolution of my recording to 480p for the intro!
With all that, there are even more problems like black borders (-insert inappropriate joke here-) and painful weird sounds in the loading times! Make sure not to put your sound volume too high if you use headphones!
Finally, the game is in English, and I wanted to record it in French. But that’s not too much of a problem since I’m perfectly fine with English, and the most nostalgic French viewers will understand the game perfectly even without a translation!
Sorry for all those little problems! I wasn’t able to figure out a way to fix them, and so if you know any way to correct them, don’t hesitate to inform me of possible solutions in the comments!
I hope you’ll still enjoy the video!

So, for this first part, Rayman will go through the first two levels easily where he’ll obtain his first powers! It’s time to explore Pink Plant Woods as well as Anguish Lagoon in which Bzzit (the first boss) awaits us!
Do not worry about the lives and cages I missed, I’ll go get them back later when I’ll have more powers! So, I’m going to beat the whole game and to find all the hidden lives if possible (and so I’ll have to beat all the Magician’s challenges)! After this game, I’ll eventually play Rayman Designer and Rayman By His Fans as well!

I’m also making this playthrough of Rayman 1 as a tribute to Rémi Gazel, the main composer of the game’s soundtrack who recently passed away.
He brought a lot of magic to my childhood with his incredible compositions, and so his passing made me terribly sad. I really want to thank him with all of my heart for his work on this game which impacted me a lot and a complete generation of players as well.
Thank you so much for everything, Rémi … your musical legacy will still live through us… Rest in peace.

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 2: Moskito’s Rage]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

Here we go for this second video of Rayman Forever! This time, Rayman will venture in the deepest parts of The Dream Forest to defeat Moskito and obtain a new power!
It’s time to explore The Swamps of Forgetfulness and Moskito’s Nest!

Sorry if I seemed a bit lost in this part! Not only was I going slower than what I am used to doing in Rayman to better showcase the game, but the placements of items and a few other changes in this version also had a tendency to confuse me a bit!
It’s only my second time playing Rayman Forever, and I’m far too used to the console versions of Rayman.

After that, we’ll move on directly to Band Land! As you can see by the level I picked at the end of the video, I initially planned to do some backtracking immediately after beating Moskito. However, I thought it would be better to wait to get all of Rayman’s powers before doing so. That way, we won’t waste time in the playthrough.
It’s more likely that I’ll go do all the backtracking towards the end of the game when the regular levels (before Candy Château) are all completed.
Thank you for your attention and for watching.

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 3: Bongo Hills]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

Third episode for Rayman Forever! Sorry for this one’s delay, I was quite busy recently! It should have been released three days ago, but I preferred to take the time to complete the subtitles before publishing it! I guess you could say it took me ‘Forever’ to get it ready! …

And I finally died for the first time! After all, completing Rayman without dying once is extremely difficult to do!
This playthrough won’t be a ‘No Death Run’ after all (but that wasn’t its point in the first place)! But I can at least say for sure that I won’t lose a single Continue, and I won’t lose too many lives! … Well, except for Space Mama and the beach level of Eat at Joe’s, when it comes to the lives. It would take insane skills or luck to do these parts easily!

For that time, we’re only going to do one level: Bongo Hills!
Since this level is very long (even though it’s shorter in this PC version), I decided it would be the only one that I would show in this video in order to not make it too long!

Also, I had to record multiple times the beginning of the video because one of the variations of the starting screen of the level made many unbearable static noises for like ten seconds! I saved your ears from the pain!
And even worse, when I started playing the level, I noticed I forgot to restart the video recording! So, I had to play twice some parts of the level! Though, it didn’t bother me as I love the game! But that was still a waste of time!
Anyway, thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy!

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 4: Band Land]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

Sorry if my uploading timing is quite slow recently! I have other contents to focus on in priority on my blogs, and so it takes me a lot of time to finish the subtitles of my videos! I have many videos ready to be uploaded, but I don’t considerate them as complete as long as I haven’t finished their subtitles!

My fourth video on Rayman Forever! For that one, Rayman is going to fly to the levels Allegro Presto and Gong Heights from Band Land! The difficulty keeps increasing slowly and my number of deaths as well! But nothing so hard in my opinion!
The next part will feature both the last level of Band Land and the first level of the next world (Blue Mountains)!
I hope you’ll enjoy! Thank you for passing by!

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 5: Duet with Mr Sax and Twilight Gulch]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

Fifth video for Rayman Forever! And this time, we’re going to visit two worlds and to encounter two bosses of the game!
Rayman will finally fight Mr Sax in Band Land’s summit, then he will meet Mr Stone at the foot of the Blue Mountains where he is gonna be chased by the rock colossus! So, here’s Mr Sax’s Hullaballoo and Twilight Gulch!

Thank you for checking out this description, and I hope you enjoy the game!

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 6: Blue Mountains]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

Sixth video of my MortaLet’s Play on Rayman Forever! Yes, it’s been quite a while since the last episode! I didn’t have much time recently so I was unable to dedicate myself to making videos!
For this new part, we’re going to go further in the Blue Mountains in which we already beat the first level in the previous part! So, we’re going to go through the Hard Rocks and the first two sections of Mr Stone’s Peaks.
It’s the first time that I don’t include the entirety of a level in one of the videos of my playthrough… This is because this last level is very long and I’ve made many stupid mistakes in that one! As such, it was better to split it like this (and even then, I had to put its first two parts in this video so that the next one doesn’t end up too long).
Rayman is finally back! Enjoy!

If you want to buy the game, you can find it there: https://www.gog.com/game/rayman_forever
Or there: https://store.ubi.com/us/rayman–forever/5800d3fc4e016524248b4567.html

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 7: Mr Stone, King of the Mountain]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!
Note #2: This video contains many stupid mistakes! Don’t hesitate to skip the most repetitive parts if they bother you! The best time stamps to skip them will be in the comments and in the subtitles!

New video (late once again) for Rayman Forever! And this time, we’re going to complete Blue Mountains by going through the last parts of Mr Stone’s Peaks!
And as you can see, I made many gaffes in most of the video! I died many times in a stupid way on things that I can usually go through without any troubles! I really was tired during the day I recorded this! … At least I didn’t make many mistakes against Mr Stone whom I have defeated quite easily!
Don’t worry about the next videos, it will be a lot better and I won’t repeat these dumb mistakes in my future playthroughs of other versions of this game!
I hope you’ll enjoy the video anyway despite my terrible lack of skill here! Have a nice day!

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 8: Eraser Plains]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

Eighth video on Rayman Forever!
This month is the twenty-fourth Rayman’s birthday, and to celebrate, I’m going to try to release a good number of videos around the franchise! I’m not sure that I’ll be able to complete in time even one of the articles on Rayman I planned for this month, but it’s guaranteed that more videos than usual will come! The last part of Rayman Redemption’s demo will arrive soon (by the way, it seems that the complete game isn’t that far from being finished, now!), and other parts of the MortaLet’s Play on Rayman Forever are in the works!
The bad news is that it’s sure now that I’ll make far less subtitles since I don’t have as much time to dedicate to my extra contents any more now that working on my books took much more importance. Though, this video got plenty of them, and the next one on Rayman Redemption’s demo shall too!

So … for this time, we’ll finally venture into Picture City! And it’s really now that Rayman’s difficulty is starting to reach its peak! Especially when it comes to the bosses and the levels which are far longer and even more filled with deadly traps! But still nothing too difficult for me, even if I’m going to lose a few lives!
We’re starting this world with the level Eraser Plains! Though, you’ll only see the first three parts of this level in order to not make the video too long.
So, the boss will be shown in the next video of this MortaLet’s Play… Many lives are going to be wasted soon because we’re going to fight against the embodiment of hell itself… Space Mama… Speaking of which, I’ll have to make a video dedicated to my failed attempts against her… As you could expect from her, many lives were annihilated… I could make an entire video out of it…

The game can be bought here: https://www.gog.com/game/rayman_forever
Or there: https://store.ubi.com/us/rayman–forever/5800d3fc4e016524248b4567.html

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 9: Space Mama’s Overture and Pencil Pentathlon]:

Note: Turn on subtitles for more fun!

It’s the return of Rayman Forever for the long ‘anticipated’ (and feared) event … the fight against Space Mama! And it’s only the first one! So, the worst has yet to come!
Anyway, we’re going to get done with Eraser Plains’ last part and we’re going to complete the first two sections of Pencil Pentathlon! The remaining parts of Picture City will be for the next videos!

Also, I cut out all the deaths against Space Mama (except the first one) from this video in order to shorten it! But if you want to see them, you can check out this ‘exquisite’ compilation of my failed attempts against Space Mama (the ones from the second battle against her are included!): https://youtu.be/otUTzysF62o

The game can be purchased on this wonderful platform! : https://www.gog.com/game/rayman_forever
Or on this not-so-wonderful platform! : https://store.ubi.com/us/rayman–forever/5800d3fc4e016524248b4567.html

Rayman Forever – MortaPlay [Part 10: Picture City]:

Welcome to this new video on Rayman Forever!
And as the original title of the video (‘The Prelude to Hell’) implied, we are finally approaching the infernal and dreaded last fight with Space Mama, and the difficulty begins to get tougher!
We finish the last section of the level Pencil Pentathlon, and we go through the first two parts of Space Mama’s Crater!

For the first time in this playthrough, there will be no subtitles! I did not find them interesting enough here, and I also have to tell you that I want to reduce them as much as possible right now! … In addition to not having enough time to deal with them when I already have so much content to maintain elsewhere, I must admit that I am quite worried about the future of my channel in view of what is happening now with COPPA on YouTube!
This unfair and poorly thought out new regulation may expose me to many risks as a content creator on YouTube, risks that I absolutely do not want to take.
My content is not specifically designed for children, despite some ‘very colourful’ and ‘kid-friendly’ games that I can play. But the ridiculously unclear and stupid criteria that we were given to set our videos ‘correctly according to COPPA’ could make my videos and those of many other creators perceived as children’s content and thus be deemed as ‘abusive’.
But my videos are not child content! Which can especially be seen when some subtitles and comments that I create on this channel are a bit vulgar and contain jokes not suitable for children.

So, I intend to set all my videos as unlisted or as private, or to even delete them if necessary! In the latter case, I will move them to another site!
Yes, I could set videos as ‘child content’ when they’re on games that are kid-friendly enough (like Rayman), but I must admit that losing the freedom to comment under these videos and losing many other features (like notifications) disgusts me a lot and would be annoying for many of you! In addition, it would not be very honest when these contents are not intended exclusively for children! But these changes are so absurd that lying is encouraged as long as it goes in COPPA’s way! This is just stupid!
So we’ll see what I’ll do with the channel before next January… Meanwhile, I will not risk doing a lot of subtitles when my videos could risk abusive take downs here, and I made a survey for you to let me know what would be your best possible future for the channel: https://poll.fm/10464579 (use a translator for each question if you can’t speak French/Baguette).
In short, I do not even know if I should even bother to make subtitles any more, it will depend on whether it’s really interesting in a video in which I have a lot to say. Depending on whether I continue or not, the uploading pace of my videos will be slowed down or accelerated… I must say that YouTube keeps making me feel increasingly more disgusted by each year, to the point that I could be ready to leave… So, to continue to make videos on it does not bring as much of a smile on my face than before, you see…

Ah! And if you did not know, I started making videos on Dailymotion and I started a new playthrough on the PC version of Rayman 2 The Great Escape! My videos on this game will arrive on YouTube after I’m done with Rayman Forever and if making videos on this website by January 2020 does not become as horrible as we currently expect! …
Here is the playlist of the playthrough: https://dailymotion.com/playlist/x6iji8
At least, if I have to renounce to YouTube, I’ll always have plenty of alternatives to keep offering you my videos! ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯

The Spooky Raymansion:

The Spooky Raymansion – MortaPlay [Full game]:

Note: Some subtitles are available if you want some comments on the game!

Another Rayman fangame made by Ryemanni! And this time, it is quite different from what he has used us to! …
Just imagine… A survival horror game … on Rayman … taking place in a creepy dark maze inside what seems to be a pirate fortress from Rayman 2 in which you must collect Tings Pac-Man style… All of this while being chased by the worst abomination imaginable… Rayman … without a nose… Welcome to The Spooky Raymansion!

This little game made in barely two days for Halloween (which is quite impressive) will make you jump out of fear and perhaps will give you some giggles as well!
Of course, the game isn’t that crazy quality-wise and the concept of the horrific Pac-Man styled maze has already been done plenty of times, but the game sure succeeds when it comes to being funny while turning one of the worlds of our childhood into a pure terrific nightmare!
Even with my many failed attempts, I sure had plenty of fun!

And my, this game is quite difficult! Noseless Rayman really won’t let you get away (by the way, I wonder who we’re supposed to play as…)!
I really have no idea how I managed to beat it to 100% by finding all the hidden Lums and by completing the level in under 5 minutes… Which I somehow managed to do on my only successful attempt (if it’s the only thing you want to see, you can go to 17:10)! I don’t even know myself why I decided to go this far into this nightmare…
If that interests you, here’s a VERY long compilation of the failed attempts I haven’t shown in this video: https://youtu.be/SekFtCZn6Y8

The game can be downloaded here: https://gamejolt.com/games/thespookyraymansion/447686
My thanks to Ryemanni for creating this creepy little gem which brought me lots of fun!

I hope you enjoy!
Are you ready for Rayman? … No, seriously … a r e y o u ? …

MediEvil (2019):

MediEvil (2019) [French] – MortaPlay [Part 1: Dan’s Crypt and The Graveyard]:

Sir Daniel Fortesque is back after so many years of ‘rest’!
And it’s pretty much the same thing for me who has not played a MediEvil game since a lot of time! The only one I used to own and which I have played in its entirety was MediEvil Resurrection (the PSP remake of the first MediEvil), so I still recognise a lot of things from this game!
However, I’m not used to this game any more, and I’m still technically just a beginner in the MediEvil games, so don’t be surprised if I don’t play that well and if I try some weird things at times!

Unlike my video on the Short-Lived Demo (https://youtu.be/Kk2Dy3ZAf4o), I have at least learned to use the shield!
I also have Dan’s Helmet thanks to this same demo, but I don’t think I’ll use it in this playthrough. If I eventually get a capture card (in order to make recordings in much better quality), I will probably make a second playthrough some day in which I’ll use the helm throughout the entire game!
Still about the demo, even if I played it differently, I don’t particularly advise you to watch this video if you have already seen the one on the demo!
The only really new part is the one in the Hall of Heroes at the end. So skip to 20:19 if that’s all you want to see… Eh … ‘20:19’… What a nice coincidence…

I will try to beat the game to 100%! But as I do not yet know the game perfectly (unfortunately I have never been able to play all of the original MediEvil during my childhood…), I might miss out on a few things and therefore I will sometimes have to play some levels again to look for what I’ve missed!
As for the bestiary, I don’t intend to show it until the end of my playthrough, so don’t be surprised if you don’t see any of it in this video.

In any case, now that I have gone deeper into it, I must say that I really like the game! I would have really liked to have it in my PS1 game collection when I was a kid! And the same goes for its sequel!
I hope the second one will get its own port or remake … and most importantly, I really hope that we’ll finally get MediEvil III!

War of the Monsters (PS4):

War of the Monsters (PS4) [FR] – MortaPlay [Congar – Part 1]:

Difficulty: Easy.

Hello fellow human comrades and curious giant monsters! As you can see this time, we’ll play one of the PS2’s classics: War of the Monsters! Quite a nice and unique fighting game from 2003 in which we play as giant monsters! Sadly, this game didn’t get the success it deserves and never got a sequel. But at least, we have this PS4 port (which is still stuck in the 4:3 aspect ratio, sadly), and this is what we’re going to play this time!

To start off this MortaLet’s Play on this wonderful game of my childhood, we’re going to go through the adventure mode as Congar! A giant ape inspired by King Kong and some other movies with gigantic primates!
And if I chose him for this first video, it’s because he is considered to be the character intended for beginners as he is the easiest to play as. He’s even the first enemy encountered in the game and is fought in the tutorial!
And so, the game will be in easy difficulty just for this time and so that I can showcase how the game plays in this difficulty setting. The next times, we’ll start over in medium difficulty with the other monsters, and we’ll play adventure mode at least once on hard difficulty! Which means that the next parts with the other characters will be more numerous since the enemies take much longer to defeat in superior difficulty settings.
Also, the introduction cutscene and the credits will only be shown in this first playthrough with Congar since it would be kinda pointless to show them again the next times.

For this first part, we’re going to go from the beginning of the game to the second boss using the big ape’s might! The next part will feature the last levels of adventure mode and so it will be the last one for the giant beast.
Unlike what I usually show here, I’m not really starting the game from the beginning! You can notice that by the fact that I already unlocked the secret monsters and some of the unlockable costumes (like this fourth Congar’s costume which is some sort of ‘Ice Congar’).
If someday I can get my hands on a capture card and record the original PS2 version, I’ll start completely over and I won’t use alternative skins!
Also, I didn’t make special subtitles for this video since I thought they wouldn’t be necessary. But it’s still possible that I may add some in future videos about this game.
Now, without further ado, you can admire those colossal battles between gigantic monsters! Enjoy!

War of the Monsters (PS4) [FR] – MortaPlay [Congar – Part 2]:

Note: A few subtitles are available and they contain a few comments on the game! So enable them if you want to understand more easily what I do at some points of this video.
Difficulty: Easy.

Second and last video with Congar! This time we’re finishing the adventure mode with him!
Next up, it will be Togera’s time to shine!

And as you can see at the end of the video, the difficulty will be set to medium! Which will be far more interesting since there’s barely any challenge in easy mode (‘Thanks Captain Obvious!’).

War of the Monsters (PS4) [FR] – MortaPlay [Togera – Part 1]:

Note: A few subtitles are available and they contain a few comments on the game! Nearly all of them appear between 7:00 and 9:13.
Difficulty: Medium.

It’s Togera’s turn to go on a rampage!
The beast inspired from Godzilla (in its fourth demonic looking costume here) will go through the first four levels in adventure mode!
And this time, we’re moving on to medium difficulty! I’m probably going to keep it that way until we’re done with every monster except one, after which we’ll try out the hard mode!

Oh … and by the way… Happy Halloween!

War of the Monsters (PS4) [FR] – MortaPlay [Togera – Part 2]:

Note: This video has subtitles which contain some comments and a few jokes!
Difficulty: Medium.

‘Togera! I choose you!’ It’s time to slay some more giant monsters! And this reference in my first sentence is well chosen since a good part of this video looks like a strange Kaiju movie adaptation of a fight between Charmander and Bulbasaur…

This playthrough featuring Togera is longer than the previous one with Congar since we switched to medium difficulty. As such, Togera will have three videos!

War of the Monsters (PS4) [FR] – MortaPlay [Togera – Part 3]:

Difficulty: Medium.

It’s time for the end of the adventure mode with our dear radioactive giant reptile!
It’s the end of Togera’s adventure! But this is only the beginning of my videos on this game! There are still many creatures involved in this ‘war of the monsters’!
I have not yet decided which one will be next, so the character of the next playthrough on this game will be a surprise this time!

In any case, one thing is certain: we will not immediately go for hard mode!
We will keep the medium difficulty with a few monsters before we finally really get down to business!

No! This isn’t a new video on Rayman Forever, but on the demo of Rayman Redemption, a fangame made as a remake and reimagination of the original Rayman! I don’t need to say that it’s the dreamed fangame for me!

This game is created by Raymanni! He’s also the creator of the other amazing fangame Rayman: The Dark Magician’s Reign of Terror (which I will play in the future when I get the time!) You can find his YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/Derpdemongames
The game’s development can be followed on Game Jolt, and it’s also where you can download the demo: https://gamejolt.com/games/raymanredemption/340532
And here’s the trailer of the very same demo: https://youtu.be/OcRacy_Mx1E

In this first part, we’re going to discover the new versions of the first levels of The Dream Forest!
The changes in the level design are a bit disconcerting for someone very accustomed to Rayman 1 like me, and these remade versions of the levels still need some polishing IMO … but there’s no doubt about it for me, this fangame is clearly an improvement over the original game! And that’s coming from someone who is extremely attached to Rayman 1!

Thank you for checking out this video, and I hope I made you discover the game and gave you the desire to try it out!
I only got one thing to say: I can’t wait for the full game, because this fan creation is pure joy for me! Seeing the game which impacted so much my childhood finally getting a remake it deserves makes me feel like I’m in a dream! … Thank you Raymanni for the great moment of magic this demo brought to me!

Rayman Redemption Gameplay Demo – MortaPlay [Part 2: Bongo Hills and the Magician’s bonus levels]:

Note: Turn on subtitles to see my comments on the game!

Rayman Mini just came out, so I decided to show you something much better! 😛

Time to finish Rayman Redemption’s demo! The wonderful fangame made by Raymanni which is a reimagined version of the first Rayman game! Here’s the link to the creator’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Derpdemongames
You can also follow the game’s development and download its demo on Game Jolt: https://gamejolt.com/games/raymanredemption/340532

By the way, the trailer for Candy Château (https://youtu.be/x6zxOlpB9tA) just got released! Which means that the game’s development probably isn’t so far from being done!
But even though I can’t wait to play the full game, what truly matters is that we get a quality game in the end. So I’m counting on Raymanni to take the time to polish his masterpiece!

For this video, we’re going to complete the demo with Bongo Hills’ new version and the Magician’s new challenges which are currently available!
As you can see, Band Land went through many changes and obtained some well-deserved improvements!
As for the new challenges, they are quite good and it’s pretty sure that the full game will have much more of them! And I also hope that the bonus levels from the original game will be included in the full version!

This fangame really looks promising and seems to have a lot more surprises in store for us! I’m really looking forward to it!
Take notes, Ubisoft … that’s how you make a Rayman game…

MediEvil – Short-Lived Demo:

MediEvil: Short-Lived Demo [French] – MortaPlay:

MediEvil’s remake just got its demo, and so, I thought that it would be the perfect thing to show you in October as a way to bring Halloween’s atmosphere to this channel!
Since I didn’t have many things to say, I didn’t make subtitles for this video, and so I’ll just use the description to give you my opinion on the demo and some information on this playthrough and the game itself!

By the way, if you’re a fan of MediEvil, don’t set your expectations too high regarding my skills in this playthrough, since this is technically the first time that I play the first MediEvil! Sadly, I didn’t have the luck to own this classic among my PS1 games when I was a little child!
I only got to try it a bit when I bought the original game on the PlayStation Store a few months ago. I was also able to play MediEvil II (which I hope will receive a modern port or a remake!) very briefly during my early childhood thanks to my best friend.
But the only MediEvil which I’m really familiar with is MediEvil Resurrection on PSP which was a very different remake version of MediEvil 1! And I haven’t played it since … many years! So, don’t be surprised if I’m not too skilful in this game! I even noticed that I didn’t even think about using the shield to protect myself! ^^
However, I did take the time to play the demo twice to get at least the hang of the game and so to provide a much more entertaining video to watch.

By the way, doing it twice allowed me to notice that Dan’s Helmet (the item obtainable exclusively in this demo and which make the enemies hit you twice as hard) is replaced by a bag of gold coins when you restart the demo! If you want to collect the Helmet, you can get it at the exact spot of this very same bag of gold which you can see at 8:06.
As the only Chalice which shows up in the demo is literally pointless (since the Hall of Heroes isn’t available), I decided to consider the Helmet as its reward! And so, I wore it right after I grabbed the Chalice! Still better than nothing!
For those who are interested, the entire bestiary available in the demo is shown at the very end of the video (18:58).

I must say that I quite enjoy this remake so far! Sure, the gameplay isn’t flawless, but it’s pretty good and feels better than the one from the PS1 game, in my opinion! I only played the original a little bit, but so far I think the new gameplay feels smoother and more dynamic! The enemies also seem to have become tougher and more aggressive than what I saw before in the first game! However, the camera really needs some improvements…
As for the graphics, they’re quite nice, but the PS4 can definitely do much better than that… Anyway, MediEvil’s art style seems to be respected (even if some visuals have a bit of the ‘mobile game look’ to me), and the dark and grim atmosphere of MediEvil is really there! It even still has the cartoonish and quirky tone of the series!
However, the demo is far too short, and nearly half of it are the introduction cutscenes! So, I’ll have to play the full game to have a much more elaborate opinion on it! At least, the game is sold at a very cheap price! ^^
It’s quite cool to make some remakes, but I’m really waiting for MediEvil III! Let’s hope that it won’t end like Half-Life 3 … 😛

From what I’ve seen, the demo will be available until the 6th of October! So, download it while you still can if you want to play it and to get Dan’s Helmet in the full game!
By the way, I think that it really sucks that a downloadable content like that is only available in a limited time… It’s sure not as bad as the usual preorder bonuses that you can see in some games nowadays, and we’re not missing much anyway in this game if we don’t get the item, but it’s still a pretty bad and unfair decision… Hopefully, the demo might become available again later on with the Helmet, or perhaps the Helmet itself could eventually become a DLC available on the main game’s page in the PlayStation Store…
EDIT: The demo is back forever! It also contains two more levels! Here’s my playthrough of the updated version: https://youtu.be/0GzrT7CTKJc

Note: The video has been recorded on PlayStation 4 Pro. But like in my previous PS4 videos, the quality is a bit mediocre since I used the console’s video capture and not an actual capture card (since I don’t have one yet). Also, the game is in French since that’s the main language of my channel.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (PlayStation 4):

CTR Nitro-Fueled (PS4) [French] – Hyper Spaceway [Time Trial – N. Tropy + Oxide Ghosts | Ami]:

Note: Turn on the subtitles to see my few comments about the race!

First video on CTR Nitro-Fueled (the French version)! And since I haven’t recorded the story mode (even though I completed it) and since I don’t have the time yet to restart it and to record it, the complete playthrough will come much later!
In the meanwhile, let’s start the videos on this game with a time trial with Ami against all ghosts available on the level Hyper Spaceway! The last track of Crash Nitro Kart! The nostalgia is strong in that one!
Sadly, it’s the CNK level which suffered the most from the removal of anti-gravity sections. I find that quite strange that the guys at Beenox decided to just remove some sections instead of replacing them with ones adapted to CTR’s gameplay (just as they did for some other tracks, which include the last part of this very same level). As a result, the level becomes far shorter and much more dynamic! But it still remains pretty hard, and defeating Oxide’s ghost isn’t that easy if you don’t memorise the track perfectly and if you don’t know well enough how physics work in the level. Mistakes are easy to make, especially when it comes to boost management! But that’s not what’s gonna prevent me from beating the ghosts’ records on this track!

Note: This video was recorded on PlayStation 4 Pro.

And yeah, you can also see my old edgy PlayStation ID in this video! It’s still one of my old pseudonyms, and I couldn’t change it because of all the risks related to data corruption on PlayStation systems.
As my account is private, it’s pointless to look it up if you want to add me as a friend. But if you really want to, I can briefly make it public to accept your request. You just have to ask me to do it in the comments or on social networks and other websites from which you can contact me (links available below). Though, there really isn’t any point since I don’t play online because I don’t pay for the service on PlayStation systems.

CTR Nitro-Fueled (PS4) [French] – Out of Time [Time Trial – N. Tropy + Oxide Ghosts | N. Tropy]:

New video on Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled! And this time, we’re going to play as the master of time himself in a level and challenge of his taste! We’re going to beat the ghosts’ times of the level Out of Time! Once again a nice return to the past which brings back quite some nostalgia!
It’s pretty easy level again when it comes to the time trials, but you absolutely have to master the shortcuts if you want to stand a chance against Oxide! Once this is done and that you mastered the blue sacred fire, it’s a piece of cake!

Note: This video was recorded on PlayStation 4 Pro.

Destroy All Humans! 2 (PlayStation 4):

The magic of Destroy All Humans! 2’s ragdoll physics:

In Soviet Russia, the game breaks you.

This video was recorded on PlayStation 4 Pro.
And yes, this is my first video on Destroy All Humans! 2! I’ll make much more when I do a complete playthrough of the game!
For now, enjoy these glorious ragdoll physics worthy of Bethesda’s greatest productions!

MortaBattles:

SoulCalibur VI (PlayStation 4):

SoulCalibur VI (PS4) [FR] – Mortamon Y. (Avatar of Judgement) VS. Devilia:

Note: Turn on subtitles for dialogues and jokes!

Because of all the exaggerated delays of my content and because she despises me, Devilia has decided to kick the ass of my fictive representation in SoulCalibur VI!
Even with all my efforts to defeat her and although I used my Super Demonic Author of Judgement form (which is a dumb name I made up in two seconds), I stood no chance against this little she-devil in Legendary difficulty!
A perfect punishment for completing my articles so late! :3

SoulCalibur VI (PS4) [FR] – Zombos VS. Devilia:

Note: Turn on subtitles for dialogues!

Interested by Devilia’s abilities and mysteries, Zombos decided to challenge her in a fight to see what she is really made of.
But what could possibly be so fascinating about her so that the undead warrior deems her worthy of his time and attention? …

This fight is in very hard difficulty, and most of the other battles I record in SoulCalibur VI will use the very same level of difficulty.

SoulCalibur VI (PS4) [FR] – Inferno (Demonic Lord) VS. Inferno (Pirate Ghost):

Difficulty: Very hard.

Here’s a battle between two modified versions of Inferno that I have created! The first Inferno has become a demonic lord, and the second one has become the ghost of a pirate captain!
Which one of these sinister individuals will end up seizing the victory? Well, you just have to watch! Enjoy!

If you want to know how to recreate these modifications for Inferno, I’ll eventually publish the formula on my main blog when I get the time! I’ll add the link here when it’s ready!
EDIT: Here’s the article! Go see the part dedicated to SoulCalibur VI to learn how to recreate these two versions of Inferno. Make sure to use a translator since the article is in French! : https://mortamonyapi.wordpress.com/2019/12/26/mes-creations-videoludiques-0/

And yes, I haven’t added any subtitles this time, there isn’t really anything to say after all! ^^

SoulCalibur VI (PS4) [FR] – Azura VS. Devilia:

Note: Turn on subtitles to see the dialogues I wrote!

Difficulty: Very hard.

Article related to this video (use a translator): https://mortamonyapi.wordpress.com/2019/06/13/plus-dinformations-sur-mon-roman-et-la-faucheuse-azuree/

Azura and Devilia have decided to fight against each other in a friendly battle in honour to the good old times of their childhood!
It’s time for Azura to finally show us part of what she can do as a warrior! Even though our little devil made a lot of progress, she didn’t stand a ‘ghost’ of a chance against the powerful Azure Reaper who became much stronger and much more talented as well!

SoulCalibur VI (PS4) [FR] – Inferno (Pirate Ghost) VS. Cervantes:

Difficulty: Very hard.

New video on SoulCalibur VI and which contains for once a character which I have neither created nor modified! Indeed, my modified version of Inferno (made to look like a pirate ghost) will measure himself to Cervantes in his normal appearance!
It’s a battle between two sinister pirates who will fight each other to know which one is worthy of haunting the seas! Obviously, Cervantes didn’t stand a ‘ghost’ of a chance against Inferno!
If you want to know how to recreate this Inferno by yourself, I’ll add a link here later which will lead you to an article in which you’ll find the creation formula for this modified Inferno!

For the second time, I didn’t make subtitles for the video! Since Inferno doesn’t talk and that there are not many interesting things to say, I considered it would have been pointless to create some, this time! The description shall suffice!
Anyway, hope you enjoy!

SoulCalibur VI (PS4) [FR] – Azura VS. Zombos:

Note: Turn on the subtitles to see the dialogues between my characters!

Difficulty: Very difficult.

A reaper and a living dead… Here is a perfect fight on the theme of death! Azura and Zombos have decided to fight to test each other!
And this battle is an opportunity to see that they have a lot in common! After all, Zombos was once a toy that belonged to Azura (actually, the toy is mine :P), and she played Zombos’s role as soon as she and her friends were making stories with their toys! So, her personality has rubbed off on the undead warrior in some way!

Azura is inconceivably more powerful than Zombos, but that will not prevent her from using much less of her power in order to have a good fight with her opponent!
Let’s see which one of these two legendary warriors has learned the most from the many clashes they have experienced throughout their lives! …

Also, the video was recorded much earlier this year (like many videos I’ve already recorded on SoulCalibur VI and which will come out in months … even years for some…). So do not be surprised to see the old interface of the game from before the 2.0 update!
Azura’s appearance is also obsolete since I had not thought yet about adding some details and applying some other changes to her! But she was already well detailed!
Now, I’ll let you enjoy the show! …
